Ja Rule pleaded guilty today Monday December 13, 2010 to a weapons charge and will be sentenced to two years in prison. The 34-year-old artist's plea, given in a Manhattan courtroom, came more than three years after police arrested him in 2007 upon finding a loaded semiautomatic handgun in the rear door of his Maybach following a concert at the Beacon Theater. Ja Rule, whose real name is Jeff Atkins, was initially pulled over for speeding. Police also found that the registration on the pricey vehicle was suspended and had no insurance.

Vybz Kartel and Spice's 'Rampin Shop' has been ordered to be destroyed and pulled from all radio, television stations and the Internet by EMI Music Publishing. This is what the email sent to Kartel states: "'Ramping Shop' by Vybz Kartel and Spice infringes the copyright in 'Miss Independent' (Smith/Hermansen/Eriksen). Clearance of this use of 'Miss Independent' has not been sought or obtained and I am informed that clearance will not be forthcoming. Wycliffe 'Steely' Johnson, of Steely and Clevie fame, is in critical condition at a New York hospital but the music fraternity has been praying for his recovery. Johnson is suffering from pneumonia having recovered from kidney compilations in December. Steely started his career as the original keyboard player with the Roots Radix Band which backed Gregory Isaacs, Bunny Wailer and numerous other artistes both on tour and in the recording studio, and also played on a number of hit recordings for various producers in the 70s. A judge issued a warrant for Lindsay Lohan’s arrest and set bail at $100,000 on Thursday after the actress failed to show up for a mandatory court hearing in Los Angeles, The Associated Press reported. Ms. Lohan, left, went to Cannes for the film festival there, and, according to her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, her passport was stolen, preventing her from returning to the United States in time for her hearing. The lastest victim was selector Richie Feelings who was hit with a bottle in his forehead, allegedly by a member of the Alliance, at the last Hot Mondays. This reportedly occurred because Richie Feelings did not play the artiste's songs.
