Morgan Heritage is scheduled to perform at the New York Stock Exchange's 94th annual tree lighting ceremony on November 30. The occasion, which opened to the public, is slated to start at 2:30 pm. The reggae band, however, is earmarked to perform at 5:35 pm. The rock band Hollis Brown, country star Jackie Lee, singers Karen Rodriguez and Jesse Campbell, the Harlem Globetrotters, and the Radio City Rockettes are also billed to perform.

Mavado had to cancel this year's staging of his annual birthday bash of the LIME Real McKoy event that was scheduled for last night. Mavado has also postponed his weekly show Stulla Wednesdays which was normally held at the Quad nightclub. Rap mogul Master P. will host an event during Grammy week honoring late R&B singer Teena Marie, in hopes of raising awareness about health related issues, whether its diabetes, high blood pressure or obesity. Master P. and his son Romeo are rallying celebrities to support Michelle Obama’s anti-obesity campaign via his Move With Music organization, which is dedicated to fighting child obesity. Jimmy Cliff and the British singer-songwriter Paloma Faith are among 22 acts lined up for the third Abu Dhabi Womad music festival next week in the United Arab Emeriates. The festival, organised by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, will take place at the Abu Dhabi Corniche on April 7-9 2011 and at Al Jahili Fort on April 7-8 2011. Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff will play at Gathering of the Vibes in Bridgeport Connecticut on Aug.1. This performance marks the beginning of Cliff’s most extensive North American tour in more than 20 years.
