MOBO Nominated 2012 Best Reggae Acts

The nominations for the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards, taking place in Liverpool, England in November, were announced on Monday. Now in its 17th year, the annual MOBO Awards recognises acts who have impacted the UK music scene.

2012 Best Reggae Act:
Damian Marley
Konshens
Mr Vegas
Popcaan
Sean Paul

The internationally renowned MOBO Awards are held annually in the UK and over the past 17 years, MOBO has showcased and honoured many of the music industry's finest talent from around the world with performances and attendances from A-list artists including Janet Jackson, Destiny's Child, Dionne Warwick, Justin Timberlake, Tina Turner, Dizzee Rascal, Marley Family, Jay-Z, Rihanna,Usher and Amy Winehouse to name a few.

Last year, the Best Reggae Act category was won by Italian singer Albarosie.
