The Stone Love family did not let the event pass without honoring some of the entertainment industry's finest. Usher Announces Extra Date On OMG Tour

Wayne Wonder stated:
It was quite unfortunate that the dispute with the record company (VP) escalated, but all that is water under the bridge now. I am ready to work. As a matter of fact, it’s more appropriate to say that the work is continuing and I know that all Wayne Wonder fans are going to love it.

Jamaica Now Allowing Duty Free Shopping

The Government of Jamaica has put into effect amendments to the island’s duty-free law allowing the sale of arrivals duty-free products. The cabinet approved an amendment to the Jamaican Duty Free Shopping Act in April 2010.

Jamaican tourism minister Edmund Bartlett said:
All incoming visitors will now be able to purchase duty-free items at licensed in-bound shops. This new move will open up the island to a new dimension in shopping. It will open up a new area for increased revenue and will put Jamaica in a position to do a number of other things. As...

Cayman Islands Visa Exemptions For Jamaicans

Jamaicans travelling to the Cayman Islands who have validated US, UK or Canadian visas will no longer require a separate visa to enter the country. The changes would be implemented in January 2011.

Premier McKeeva Bush Said;
We are trying to build a stronger country and we need more people, In recent years these islands have not been so welcoming and we lost some 6000 permit holders but double that in people. So we are trying to build back the population.

Rapper Doug E. Fresh in Trouble With the IRS

It appears that the Internal Revenue Service is after Rapper Doug E. Fresh for unpaid taxes. According to a lien filed by the IRS in New York City, Doug E. Fresh failed to pay $2,276,848 dollars in federal taxes.

However, this is not the first time Fresh has had to deal with delinquent taxes owed to the IRS. Back in 2008, he owed $367,000 dollars in unpaid federal and state taxes.

Despite his problem with the IRS, Fresh seems to be doing okay financially business-wise. He has opened a new restaurant named Doug E’s Chicken and Waffles in Harlem, New York...

Jamaica PM Pins Blame On Lax Counter-Drug Unit

(AP) Prime Minister Bruce Golding said Thursday his government shook up an anti-drug police unit after Cuba complained that the force had been uncooperative in preventing Jamaican drug smugglers using speedboats and small planes to move narcotics.

NEW YORK (AP) — The game show "Jeopardy" will pit man versus machine this winter in a competition that will show how successful scientists are in creating a computer that can mimic human intelligence.
