Since news of Spotify making its way to an additional 83 countries globally last week with Jamaica making the list for the Caribbean, Alkaline, is now the face of its first Jamaican-focused playlist ‘Back A Yard’. Dubbed ‘the latest and biggest tracks from Jamaica’s Dancehall scene’. The playlist currently consists of fifty-one (51) authentic dancehall tracks. Tracks from the genre’s leading headliners highlighting the user-demand for these specific tracks via their streaming numbers. Powering the streams are his loyal fans. The listening time on the “Back a Yard” Spotify playlist is approximately 2hrs and 51 minutes.
On Tuesday the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s information arm, revealed that Alkaline was being sought for questioning in regards to the murder of Rohan Morris and has asked him to report to Area Four HQ at Harman Barracks. Rohan Morris, a 28 year old, was murdered at his home in Maverley, St Andrew, on January 13, 2017.

RadarOnline.com reports that Italian model Loredana Jolie Ferriolo, who is attempting to sell a tell-all book on her alleged trysts with the pro golf star, claims to have witnessed Woods participating in gay encounters. Actress Amber Heard has headed out in different directions from Elaine Bredehoft, her primary attorney in Depp v. Heard case, a representative declared Monday. Heard, 36, has employed First Amendment lawyers David Axelrod and Jay Ward Brown, who effectively addressed the New York Times against a slander claim brought by Sarah Palin, previous Alaska lead representative and 2008 Republican bad habit official candidate. An American Airlines jetliner has overshot the runway at the airport in the Jamaican capital Kingston, injuring at least 40 people. The Boeing 737 jet overran the runway at Norman Manley International Airport late Tuesday as it was coming in for a landing during a heavy rainstorm. The plane went through a fence at the end of the runway and skidded over a roadway before coming to rest on a beach. There were no reports of any fatalities. More than 150 people were on board the flight, which originated in Washington and stopped in Miami before heading to Kingston. Jean-Dickens Toussaint and his wife were recently kidnapped in Haiti, which has brought renewed attention to the ongoing security crisis in the country. The couple was abducted in Port-au-Prince, the capital city of Haiti, on March 18, 2023, as they were leaving a bank. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of $2 million for their release. The founder of Shower Posse has died of illnesses at a Jamaica hospital, a year after returning to his native island following a prison term in the United States. Vivian Blake, 53, died Sunday at University Hospital of the West Indies, where he had been admitted a day earlier after suffering a heart attack, according to attorney George Soutar. A Jamaican police officer was forced into a shootout when he was attacked while he was urinating. The police inspector was driving his private vehicle through Spanish Town area Saturday night when he pull over to relieve himself. According to police reports, about 11:33 p.m. Saturday night the inspector stopped along the Spanish Town Bypass, in the vicinity of Food for The Poor, when he was attacked. The men opened fire at him. He pulled his service pistol and pointed it in the direction of the men and fired back. The men ran after the inspector return fire. A judge issued a warrant for Lindsay Lohan’s arrest and set bail at $100,000 on Thursday after the actress failed to show up for a mandatory court hearing in Los Angeles, The Associated Press reported. Ms. Lohan, left, went to Cannes for the film festival there, and, according to her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, her passport was stolen, preventing her from returning to the United States in time for her hearing. A warrant has been ordered for the arrest of the head of Shocking Vibes Entertainment, Patrick Roberts. Roberts was scheduled to appear before the Tax Court on tax evasion charges yesterday, after it was alleged that he owed the Government millions of dollars in unpaid taxes. Upcoming artiste Demar "Copper Cat" Graham was gunned down last night in front of his gate and allegedly robbed of his Blackberry cellular phone. He was 22 years old.
