Suspected Cutlass Attacker Set Free In Trinidad and Tobago

The man accused of chopping the English couple Peter and Murium Green was set free, more than 18 months after the horrific assault, without a trial in Trinidad and Tobago. The couple suffered a brutal cutlass attack at their Bacolet home on August 1, 2009. The bloody assault left them physically scarred and traumatised.

Clint Alexis was arrested a few days after the incident, but even then there were signs that something was amiss with the case. In an unusual move, his Argyle neighbours protested outside the court, saying he had been at home with an injured leg when the attack took place.
