More than 6,000 Jamaicans in danger of being Deported.

Clifford Chambers, security attaché at the Jamaican Embassy in Washington, told The Gleaner that more than 6,000 Jamaicans were now in US custody facing deportation proceedings.

Between 2002 and 2009, more than 13,000 Jamaicans were deported from the US, the Jamaican Embassy says. Last year, the US showed the red card to more than 1,400 persons.

that article said that u.s. residents w/jam citizenship got deported for traffic violations in the u.s. i do not blv dat, i do not blv innocent, law abiding ppl get deported ova something as trivial as a traffic violation

and if those ppl live in the u.s. all dem life and didnt file for citizenship (like the article said), there is a real good reason behind dat, either dem [tru ignorance] never saw the value in filing for it OR dem know it make no sense for dem to file (caz dem wont get it given dem history and background) and...

another thing dat article said was dat ppl should file for citizenship, as if citizenship can stop dem from being deported? lol a which fool a write fi jamaica gleaner :confused:
