Several construction workers were taken to hospital this morning after a section of a building under construction at the former Grand Lido hotel in Negril collapsed around 6 a.m on Tuesday. Three workers were trapped under the rubble of the two-storey building that was being constructed.

One worker who was trapped under the rubble had been rescued by late morning while firefighters worked feverishly to free at least two others. The status of the two remaining working is unknown at this time.
