American Gangster: The Jamaican Shower Posse
The founder of Shower Posse has died of illnesses at a Jamaica hospital,
a year after returning to his native island following a prison term in the
United States.
Vivian Blake, 53, died Sunday at University Hospital of the West Indies,
where he had been admitted a day earlier after suffering a heart attack,
according to attorney George Soutar. The lawyer said Blake also had kidney
disease and had been receiving dialysis treatment.

VP Records presents the fourth album from veteran singer/songwriter Junior
Kelly. His new album titled Red Pond will be available April 6th. It is an

Michael Jackson Estate Signs $250 Million Deal With Sony.
The deal, for about 10 recordings through 2017, will guarantee the Jackson
estate up to $250 million in advances and other payments and offer an especially
high royalty rate for sales both inside and outside the United States, according
to people with knowledge of the contract who spoke anonymously because they
were not authorized to speak about it publicly.
Sony’s contract is a bet on the continued appeal of Mr. Jackson, whose sales

Vybz Kartel and Mavado Show Will Go On In Barbados.
The Barbados Youth Action Program, a Government affiliate under the
chairmanship of member of parliament Hamilton Lashley, has scheduled
performances of the two Jamaican artistes for a reggae show on March 27,
2010 at the Midway House carpark, Bay Street, The City.
Barbados' commissioner of Police Darwin Dottin is objecting to their joint
performance in that country on March 27. The commissioner, said the
force was concerned about the negativity associated with both entertainers.

Mavado's manager Julian Jones-Griffith released a statement on twitter.
"Mavado is no longer signed to VP Records, the deal has been officially
terminated. We are currently exploring the many options before us"
